At Swienty A/S in Sønderborg, Denmark, we have been developing machines and solutions for beekeeping for more than 40 years – an industry deeply connected to nature and therefore especially affected by climate change. Our mission is clear: to combine technology and responsibility to create a sustainable future for both bees and people.

Sustainability Starts with Green Energy

We believe that real change comes through action. That’s why we have invested in solar panels that cover a large part of our energy needs and replaced gas heating with intelligent heat pumps that automatically reduce energy consumption outside working hours. This benefits the environment – and the working environment.

Green Choices in Everyday Operations

At Swienty, sustainability is not a side project – it’s an integral part of everything we do. In addition to our own energy solutions, we purchase climate-friendly electricity through the variable with climate program, paying a premium to support wind energy and the expansion of renewable sources.

We also focus on the details:

• All lighting has been converted to LED to save energy.
• Company vehicles are being electrified wherever possible – currently, we use hybrid models.
• Materials are chosen with care: FSC-certified wood and plastic-free packing tape.
• Organic products such as coffee and fruit are a given.
• Outdoor areas are maintained without chemicals.

As part of the beekeeping industry, we know how sensitive ecosystems are to climate change. That’s why sustainability is a core value in our strategy – from energy supply to material selection. Our entire team is engaged and contributes ideas, and we continuously work to further develop and communicate our sustainability strategy.
