Varroa tester
If in doubt if your bees have many varroa mites, then this is the solution.
You catch 200 bees from the brood frame (avoid catching the queen).
Then you anesthetize them with CO2 gas. After 10-20 seconds shake the varroa counter for 10 seconds.
The varroa mites are also affected by the anesthetic and will fall off the bees.
So they are easy to count and it's easy to evaluate the number of mites in your hive.
The anesthetized bees will wake up after a short while and can be returned into the hive.
Easy to use and gentle on the bees.
The big advantage is that the set provides multiple dosages and with the associated dispenser, it is much easier to dose the CO2.
Specially designed for use with 425 grams SODA STREAM cartridges (not part of this kit!) that can be purchased throughout the world.
Supplied with pressure regulator, special adapter for 425 gram CO2 container, hose and dispenser.
The kit can also be used for the Swienty Insemination apparatus without big adjustments, which provides great flexibility.
