    The reflectometer is used to measure the HMF value in the honey. The allowed quantity of HMF in 1 kg honey is 40 g. Overheated honey has a very high value of HMF.

    This instrument can also be used to measure the fructose and glucose content in honey to derive the F/G ratio.
